Become a Pro Bono Psychotherapist

Unchained At Last invites you to help unchain someone from a marriage they didn’t choose.

Unchained’s team of pro bono psychotherapists help people deal with the trauma of escaping a forced marriage.

If you join the team, you can decide whether to accept a new pro bono assignment when it becomes available. When you accept an assignment, you typically commit to providing 24 weekly pro bono therapy sessions, with the option to continue the pro bono relationship after that time.

If you are licensed to provide counseling, please join Unchained’s team of pro bono psychotherapists and help someone un-arrange their marriage and re-arrange their life.

Christine Clawley, LPC

Working with Unchained as a pro bono therapist has been an extremely rewarding and meaningful experience. Providing therapy to young women who have survived extremely oppressive, abusive or highly controlling environments or cultures at no cost is a powerful way to help create a more open, equal and compassionate society. This work has made me a better, more culturally aware and sensitive practitioner and has helped inform the work I do with other clients.
