Join us for a screening of “Unmuted: Child Brides,” part of a docuseries by Without Exception Films, which spotlights survivors of child marriage alongside grassroots advocates and organizations working to end child marriage globally, from the U.S. to South Asia and East Africa. We will talk about the power of unflinching storytelling to intensify the push to eliminate forced and child marriage – which are recognized as forms of modern slavery – and thereby help to achieve gender equality.

About Commission on the Status of Women
Each year the U.N. hosts CSW, the U.N.’s largest annual gathering on women’s rights, in New York City. Representatives of member states, U.N. entities and approved non-governmental organizations from around the world are invited to attend. The 70th session of CSW takes place 9 to 20 March 2026, on a hybrid basis, with a priority theme of ensuring and strengthening access to justice for all women and girls, including by promoting inclusive and equitable legal systems, eliminating discriminatory laws, policies and practices, and addressing structural barriers.
