Suzanne Kim

headshot suzanne kim 182 kbSuzanne Kim is Professor of Law and Judge Denny Chin Scholar at Rutgers School of Law-Newark, where she teaches civil procedure, family law and sex discrimination. Suzanne also has
served as Associate Dean for Faculty Development at Rutgers Law and serves on numerous university committees, including the RU-Newark Commission on Diversity and Transformation.

Suzanne’s scholarship, often interdisciplinary in approach, addresses intersections of gender, family, sexuality, race, ethnicity, class, culture and work. Prior to joining the Rutgers faculty, Professor Kim was a lecturer-in-law at Stanford Law School. She has been a visiting scholar at Columbia Law School and has also taught at Fordham Law School.

Suzanne has served as an appointed member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Minority Concerns. She has practiced law as a litigation associate with Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York and received the firm’s Pro Bono Service Award. She has also served as a federal judicial law clerk.
